In 2009, The Peggy Browning Fund will support between 40 and 50 funded Summer Fellowships in labor-related organizations throughout the United States. In 2009-2010, we will support one part-time funded School-Year Fellowship (at the Chicago Newspaper Guild).
The Summer Fellowship stipends are for a minimum of $4,500 per student for a ten-week employment period. In many cases Mentor Organizations will supplement the stipend. For the part-time 2009-2010 School-Year Fellowship, the total stipend will be approximately $3,700 (based on 15 hours/week, 11 weeks/semester). See each individual fellowship description for details.
Students interested in applying must submit applications both to the listed organization and to The Peggy Browning Fund. Applications must be received no later than Thursday, January 15, 2009. The Fund aims to notify students selected for these positions in mid to late February.

Law students selected for our fellowships in past years have consistently praised the unique opportunities and experiences they gained. We are confident that next summer's fellowships will be just as rewarding. We encourage students to apply.
